About Us

While planning my home-made wedding, I searched for a mix of vintage cake plates to no avail. It was hard to find cake plates that were both eclectic & well made. So, I began to collect a mixture of vintage plates & glassware to make my own. After the wedding, I had several people ask if they could take a cake plate home, and thus Separelli was born. After scouring antique stores around central and southern Vermont for the right combinations plates and glasses, I assemble the cake plates in the 1868 school house that is my home. While I occasionally stumble across a set of dishes that I would like to use, most of the dessert plates are one of a kind, made from single plates and glassware found at antique stores.Recipe cards are the natural next step to compliment the cake plates. Made from recycled paper, these double sided recipe cards are letterpressed, the story behind their materiality creating another layer of connection to the objects that we fill our homes with. As for the donuts, why not?
